Our Coaches

Christy Clinton

Christy is our Executive Director and Head Coach. Christy was born and raised on Long Island New York where she started playing lacrosse in high school. She proceeded to play D1 college lacrosse at Marist College in Poughkeepsie NY and was their starting goalie for four years. She still holds a record at Marist for being a top 5 goalie with the most career saves!

After college, she became a special education teacher in Hawaii where she also helped bring lacrosse to the island of Oahu in 2002.

After leaving Hawaii, she landed in Washington state, where she coached Varsity lacrosse for two years and then continued to coach in the youth program once her oldest daughter was in elementary school.

“I tell my girls all the time, you could be the most talented club around and play dirty and no one would respect you. We want to compete at the highest level while earning the respect of our opponents. That’s what being a number one team and program is all about.”

What separates us from many programs is the heart that Christy pours into the girls. She not only invests in the girls to grow as lacrosse players, she truly wants them to be good humans and give back to the world around them. INTEGRITY. HEART. HUSTLE.

Ashley Inman

Ashley is a head coach at Stingrays Lacrosse Club. In her first season, the high school team won the Championship at the Legends National Cup in Oceanside, CA. She is a motivating coach and the girls love her coaching style.

Coach Ashley has been the Head Coach of the Poway High School Varsity team for half a dozen years and has been a part of the coaching staff for 10 years. She has also been coaching in the club scene for many years.

Ashley graduated from the University of Oregon in June 2013 and graduated in 2009 from Poway High School.

Ashley currently works as a Lead Data Analyst in Carlsbad.

Katherine Mueller

Katherine has coached for the Stingrays since we began the program in 2022. She has done a fantastic job teaching the younger girls her love for the game.

Katherine went to Westview High School.  She had a coach who taught her how to play and who also fostered her confidence on the field. She helps instill this confidence in the players she coaches.

After high school, Katherine went on to attend the University of Arizona. After graduating, Katherine returned to San Diego to attend and then receive her teaching credential and Masters in Education at the University of San Diego. Since 2016, Katherine has helped coach the Nighthawks youth girls lacrosse team in Del Sur, CA.

Katherine is an elementary school teacher at Willow Grove Elementary in the Poway Unified School District. She loves giving students confidence not only in the classroom but also outside of the classroom.
